The Front Row Story
All of the Flavor. None of the Fuss.
“When life gives you basil, make pesto,” says Front Row Chef and Proprietor Peter Blum.
“Right now, people are just beginning to think of entertaining again,” Blum said. “I feel taking a small personalized approach will keep things safe and delicious at the same time.”
Before Front Row Blum managed a food truck, cooked in a large kitchen, and ran the catering program for Duos, an iconic restaurant in Indianapolis.
Now, working out of a commercial space in Carmel, Ind., Front Row Catering will offer a full range of catering possibilities, from in-home dining and entertaining, to meetings.
The menu will be seasonal and focused on top-flight provisions.
“I don’t specialize in a region or a cuisine,” Blum said. “I focus on taking what’s available and making it delicious.” Blum likes to source locally whenever possible.
Blum’s career has not been limited to food. He was a newspaper reporter and editor for 14 years, worked in state government for a time and then spent 15 years in the corrugated box industry. A corporate takeover led him to Becky Hostetter and Duos, where his third act began.
